READING in The National about the list of potential new leaders of the “Scottish” Tory Party made me think. If I was to win EuroMillions and become obscenely wealthy, like so many Tory politicians and their spouses through one dodgy deal after another, not for me that fabulous home on that dream island or a fleet of prestigious cars like auld Cherlie has. Nope ... for me I think I would buy a medical research foundation with the intention on actually trying to find cures for people’s medical conditions, but only after I had offered huge sums of money to “Scottish” Tory politicians to be allowed to see inside their heads.
OK, you would see right through Douglas Ross from ear to ear with a magnifying glass, but to see what makes these people be able to go about their everyday work attacking all things that are good about Scotland, voting against clearly good ideas that would benefit their own families, and trying to attack absolutely everything to do with people wanting to try to give Scots a better life than they have today as they are powerless to see their huge resources literally stolen every single moment of every single day.

There quite simply must be something inside their memory banks that completely erases the small fact that the truly monstrous Thatcher – sorry, Anas and Two-Tier, but she really was – and the small fact she absolutely destroyed Scottish industry and in doing so created a brain drain south as well as initiating Scotland’s heartbreaking tale of people turning to alcohol and drugs to try escape that feeling of being completely bereft of any decent future.
To make things worse, we are now paying 200% more for energy bills! Anyone brighter than a pork pie knows fine well the money they simply created for the furlough scheme was simply so their whole system did not collapse as they need people paying their mortgages, rent, utility bills and loans. It was always going to be the excuse they needed to absolutely shaft everyone as we started coming out of lockdown, and whilst civilised nations and islands capped energy rises as low as between 3% and 4%, our criminally corrupt leaders are still putting people into poverty to try hide the astronomical financial damage of Brexit.

Any Scot who thought he was getting “change” by voting Labour must be truly kicking him/herself now as it was simply never going to happen under this Tory charlatan. Going back to 2014, how all the Unionist politicians who lied through their teeth to pretend Scots would be better off staying in chains are still free to go about their day-to-day business is quite simply beyond words. If I had any more left over from my EuroMillions haul I would call my energy provider and tell them I can come off the obscene monthly bills I pay now and can pay quarterly, now wouldn’t that be a thing!!!
People really need to start waking up, as there is more chance of Boris Johnson stopping being a pathological liar than there is of our hugely resource-rich land ever prospering whilst being bullied and held by our neighbour’s ruining “elite”.

AFTER reading Humza Yousaf’s comments in Friday’s National, I agree there is no place in society for racism. I can understand why Humza is considering leaving Scotland because he worries for the safety of his family, however I do wonder where in the world he thinks he can go that is racist-free. Sadly nowhere in my opinion. I would also like to point out that we all live in fear of Islamic terrorists. I think that Islamophobia stems from people’s fears of all the Islamic terror groups around the world and the dreadful acts that have killed so many innocent people. We exist in a world with religious fanatics, Jihadists etc. So Humza, where will you go?

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
