BRIAN Lawson’s letter (How will Harvie judge the impact of Forbes on policy decisions?, Oct 28) heaps scorn on the Greens and their negotiations to ensure environmental justice is at the heart of the budget.

I can assure him that there are plenty of voters outside the Green’s “political bubble” who share their view that an economy cannot keep growing indefinitely, that more roads means more traffic, more pollution and deaths, that the rich are not paying their fair share and that the climate crisis is deadly serious and getting more so every day. And we will vote on these issues.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
