As First Minister she delivered daily Covid-19 briefings with calm assurance
NEAL Ascherson (Scotland needs ‘as if’ approach, Nov 24) prompts us all to remember that during the Covid crisis Nicola Sturgeon as First Minister gave daily briefings delivered with calm assurance.
In contrast, evidence to the London-based Covid inquiry reveals Johnson, Hancock et al describing Nicola as “difficult” in her approach.

Additionally, don’t forget the clamour of the British parties in Scotland and their mouthpiece in BBC Scotland to undermine her prolonged and arduous work by demanding and getting rights of reply.
Nicola’s leadership was a model of “as if”’ to build on.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
