FARAGE isn’t afraid of Scotland but failed to turn up for his party’s conference in Perth. Aye, that’ll be shining bright. Deputy leader Richard Tice made the excuse that “we can’t be in two places at once”, without saying where the “most popular leader across the whole of the United Kingdom” was alternately. Probably back in his south-coast constituency soaking up the sunshine with a pint or two of English beer.

What a load of plonkers these people are turning out to be. Their conference couldn’t have been very big having to use a local hotel for the venue, and attempting to boost Farage’s popularity with such a blatantly daft description of the man makes you wonder who these Scottish residents are that have decided to join this so-called “Reform Party” anyway.

It seems to me that they are no wiser than those who were hoodwinked into voting the English Labour Party into power. Let’s hope Scotland gathers a wee bit more common sense between now and the 2026 national election.
