SCOTT BAIN 6
Managed to scramble a Chris Burke header off the line with Kilmarnock appealing that it was over.
JOHNJO KENNY 6
Straight into the starting line-up after his arrival from Everton on Monday night. Tired as the game went on but will be pleased with a solid start to his Celtic chapter.

STEPHEN WELSH 6
Back into the team and looked comfortable as Celtic kept a welcome clean sheet to keep the pressure at bay.
KRIS AJER 7
Return to the more familiar position at the heart of defence after his brief flirtation as a right-back. Plenty of opportunities for his trademark runs out of defence and strong at the back.
GREG TAYLOR 6
Tried to get forward in support as he looked to get one over his former team and utilised ample space on the flank.
SCOTT BROWN 7
Unlikley source of the opening goal when he headed in the first of the night but nothing unusual about the bite and snarl as he clashed with Aaron Tshibola. Set up Ajeti’s goal.
RYAN CHRISTIE 7
Awkward twist of his ankle as he landed from an aerial challenge in the second period but part of a midfield diamond that put in a fairly energetic performance.
DAVID TURNBULL 8
Lively and creative. Added to a sense of purpose about Celtic’s midfield. Clever ball for Edouard for Celtic’s third of the night.
CALLUM MCGREGOR 7

Another who looked hungry. Keen to get through the lines and get the ball forward.
ALBIAN AJETI 7
Some criticism that he went down too easily for the penalty that led to Celtic’s second goal of the night but fine finish as he claimed his first goal since September in the late stages of the game.
ODSONNE EDOUARD 8
First time since the opening day of the season that the striker has netted more than once in a game. Claimed a brace and had one chalked off for offside.
MOHAMED ELYOUNOUSSI 4
On for the last 20 minutes but couldn’t add to the scoring.
PATRYK KLIMALA 3
Took over from Edouard as Celtic continued to prove for openings.
MIKEY JOHNSTON 3
On for the latter stages as Celtic saw out a comfortable night.
DIEGO LAXALT 2
Replaced Taylor as the game headed into added time.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
