FIFA has fined the SFA because the Tartan Army booed the Israeli national anthem before the dramatic World Cup qualifier last month.
And they were also rapped because of the display of an inappropriate flag in the ground.
Scotland produced a fantastic comeback to grab an injury time winner against old foes Israel to put Steve Clarke's side firmly in the driving seat for the play-off spot.
However, the Israeli national anthem was booed during its rendition by a section of home fans at a sell-out Hampden Park.
It was mentioned in the delegate's report and the SFA has been hit with a fine of £8,024 because of it and the flying of a flag by FIFA's disciplinary committee.
The SFA were hit with a breach of FIFA Disciplinary Code Article 16 and the world's governing body explained the fine was due to: "Order and security at matches (disturbance during national anthems, use of objects - flag - to transmit a message that is not appropriate for a sports event)."
Scotland's next World Cup opponent, Moldova, were fined almost £25,000 for a kid flying a drone ahead of their qualifier with Austria and booing of the visitor's national anthem.
FIFA explained the fine was for: "Order and security at matches (invasion of the field of play, drone causing a disturbance during national anthems)."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
