Celtic Park has been rated as the best stadium in Europe in a new study.

Data from Ticketgum puts Parkhead above Wembley and Old Trafford in the European rankings with Celtic Park second in the worldwide list.

The new study rated Celtic Park as a 4.7 (out of five) average rating for fans with seating capacity, reviews, average number of goals per game and global searches used to define the rankings.

The statistics combined to score Celtic Park at an impressive 80.74 out of 100.

Just Cruzeiro EC stadium Mineirao pipped Celtic into top spot to be named as the best stadium in world football - with a score of 83.40.

Wembley, the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and Estadio Olimpico Univesitario in Mexico City round out the top five world football grounds.

Meanwhile, Rangers' Ibrox Stadium was ranked 65th in the world stadia rankings - or 39th in Europe.

It achieved a final score of 49.94 in the Ticketgum reseach but still boasts a 4.7 (out of five) average review score.

Hampden Park makes the top 100 list in 99th position in the table. It scores an average rating of 3.9 in the study with a final score of 37.91.
