Bristol City striker Tommy Conway is determined to force his way into the Scotland squad after his FA Cup heroics against West Ham.

The 21-year-old - who has played for the Scotland under-21 side - scored the only goal as Championship side City dumped Premier League West Ham out of the cup competition.

And Conway - eligible for Scotland through a grandparent - is confident he has the ability to challenge those currently in Steve Clarke's squad with Euro 2024 approaching.

Asked if a spot in the Euro 24 squad for Scotland is a reasonable target, Conway stated: "Yeah. I don't see why not.

"Obviously, there is competition in my position but I don't see why I can't be challenging those boys who have been called up before.

"It will be an interesting one but like I said, I can only get there if I am performing well for my club so that is my main focus at the minute."

And on the difference in quality between the Premier League and second tier in England, Conway told Sky Sports: "In the two games I have played I haven't seen a massive difference between Championship and Premier League coming up against those defenders."

Taunton-born Conway has played 22 times for Bristol City this season, scoring eight goals. The striker has scored once for Scotland under-21s in five outings for his country.
