Jaden Brown is set to complete a permanent transfer switch to St Mirren.

The full-back is expected to finalise a move to the SMiSA Stadium in the coming days after spending last season on loan in Paisley.

Brown, 25, is contracted at Lincoln until 2025 but, as first reported by the Daily Record, it's thought a permanent exit from the club to join the Buddies has been negotiated.

The full-back - who can also operate in a further advanced role on the left flank - is in line to sign a two-year deal with St Mirren.

A possible return was teased on Saturday on X, formerly Twitter, where he posted an image of him in action against Celtic.

Brown played eight times for St Mirren last season during his loan move from Lincoln - having been involved at the League One side until January.

The former Tottenham and Sheffield Wednesday player made just one start but often came off the bench to replace Scott Tanser in matches. He also played once at right wing-back.

Stephen Robinson has been swift with his transfer dealings this summer with Brown poised to become the club's fourth signing ahead of European football next month.

Shaun Rooney and Oisin Smyth have both signed full-time terms in Paisley with Brentford keeper Ellery Balcombe also checking in on a season-long loan.

St Mirren enter the Conference League next month with a tie against the winners of Icelandic club Valur against Albanian outfit KF Vllaznia.

Before then, the Buddies will play four pre-season friendlies beginning with a trip to Fife to take on Dunfermline on July 6.

They'll then play Morton in a Renfrewshire derby at Cappielow on July 9 followed by hosting English clubs Fleetwood Town and Carlisle United at the SMiSA Stadium on July 13 and July 19 respectively.
