Rangers flop Jose Cifuentes is set for a new challenge after cutting his current loan in Brazil short.

The midfielder joined Cruzeiro in the winter window after failing to make any sort of impact since joining the Ibrox club last summer.

The 25-year-old was a Michael Beale signing, arriving for £1.2m from LAFC in the MLS.

He made 20 appearances for the Scottish Premiership side, before Philippe Clement was happy for the Ecuadorian to leave, as he joined Cruzeiro on a 12-month loan.

Now, Cifuentes is on his way to Greece for a new loan move.

He is set to join Aris Thessaloniki for the 2024/25 season.

An obligation to buy the player has been placed in the agreement, with reports in Greece stating the fee set at around £4.2m.

Meanwhile, Connor Goldson has been spotted at an airport as he heads for the Rangers departure gate.

The centre-back is set to leave the Ibrox club after six years spent in Glasgow.

Philippe Clement will allow the 31-year-old to leave for a new challenge, as the Belgian frees up some much-needed wages to redistribute in his transfer budget.

Goldson missed Wednesday night's friendly against Birmingham City due to a 'concrete offer' being submitted.

Now, a Rangers fan has taken to social media to share a photo of Goldson at Glasgow International Airport this morning, as he looks to move on to pastures new.

The Englishman was spotted with five suitcases as he approached the check-in desks at the main entrance of the terminal building.

Aris Limassol of Cyprus are the team that have been strongly linked with the Scottish Premiership stalwart.

However, Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia have previously been interested too.
