Celtic dazzled in front of a full on-song Celtic Park last night (Wednesday), when Brendan Rodgers and his players swept Slovan Bratislava aside 5-1 in the UEFA Champions League.
With five goals from five different scorers, there was much to shout about regarding the home side's performance, but it was a stand-out Liam Scales display that was awarded UEFA's Man of the Match after the full-time whistle.
The Irishman was solid from the back, while also providing Celtic's opener on the night – when he converted a deft Arne Engels corner with a bullet header.

Speaking to broadcaster TNT afterwards, the 26-year-old said hailed his team-mates all over the pitch before singling out Engels for praise.
From here, Scales is determined to push for more points in the new-look Champions League, and he's already picked out the perfect spot for his Man of the Match trophy. He said: "There are tough games coming up, every game is tough in this competition. But we want to really have a go this season.
"We've got more experience now from previous years. We want to have a go and pick up wins across the board wherever we can.
"[Where is the Man of the Match award going?] Straight up on the mantelpiece, it's a nice one, eh?"
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
