Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is a huge doubt for their Scottish Premiership clash with St Johnstone on Saturday due to injury.
The 26-year-old is set to be assessed later this week, with manager Brendan Rodgers confirming a metatarsal issue.
He did not feature in Sunday’s League Cup quarter-final win over Falkirk after missing training during the week.

Speaking after the Falkirk game, boss Brendan Rodgers told Premier Sports: “Cam has been suffering a wee bit with his metatarsal, below his big toe. We gave it a little bit of a period earlier on, a few weeks back, and he was okay.
“He’s got a little bit sore, obviously playing back-to-back games, which is why we’ve given him today free. So, we’ll just assess that and see how that is later in the week.”
It is uncertain whether the US international will return in time for Celtic’s Champions League trip to Borussia Dortmund on 1 October, in what would be a huge blow as the Hoops aim to build on an excellent start to their European campaign following last week's emphatic victory over Slovan Bratislava.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
