Malmo defender Pontus Jansson admitted they were lucky to get away with just a two-goal defeat from Rangers after accepting the Ibrox side were levels above them.
Rangers romped to an impressive 2-0 win against the Swedish champions-elect and gained revenge for two previous defeats from the Swedish club in the Champions League.
And veteran central defender Jansson had no complaints about the outcome of the opening Europa League encounter.
He said: "It could easily have been even more.
"Rangers were clearly better than us, no question.
"They were more solid and physical and it feels like they had the clearer plan. Yes, they were way ahead all over the pitch.
"We can have no complaints about the result."

And former Sweden defender Pontus Wernbloom - who won 51 caps for his country and played at two Euros before becoming a TV pundit - reckons Rangers manager Philippe Clement deserved all the praise.
He said: "Malmo were taken to school by Rangers.
"I thought they lost all over the pitch and importantly, on the bench too.
"Rangers got their tactics spot on and Philippe Clement was streets ahead of Henrik Rydstrom in that respect.
"Malmo lost every single individual battle. Before the game, Malmo talked about Rangers being physical and strong and that there would be a lot of duels.
"And they lost them all. A terrible night for Malmo."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
