Manchester United should have never allowed Scott McTominay to leave the club this summer.
Thats according to former Celtic forward Paulo Di Canio, who believes the Red Devils’ hierarchy should be “arrested” for selling the midfielder.
McTominay had been at the English Premier League giants since a kid and went on to make over 250 first team appearances.
He even played 43 times, scoring 10 goals last season. Pretty good stats given his position.
Now after sealing a £25million move to Napoli in Serie A, the Scotland international hasn’t looked back.
The 27-year-old has already cemented himself as a key player for the Italian giants, who top the domestic league after seven games.

McTominay has two goals and an assist from five outings so far, and he’s evidently began to rekindle a strong connection with former Manchester United teammate Romelu Lukaku.
So it’s no wonder Di Canio is observing the situation unfold whilst McTominay’s old club struggles, and reckons offloading the player was a big mistake.
“I would go to those at Manchester United to arrest all the directors – how can you give away McTominay?,” Di Canio said in an interview with Il Mattino.
“McTominay scored goals, he carried the cross, he had determination and yet they kicked him out!
“Nothing works at Manchester United, a club that only does stupid things, you can’t guess anything.”
