Chris Davies has been delighted by how quickly Tomoki Iwata has settled at Birmingham City since moving from Celtic during the summer transfer window.
The former Celtic assistant manager, and current Birmingham City boss, spoke after his side's 2-0 English League One victory over Bolton Wanderers, during which Iwata scored after just three minutes.
The well-taken strike marked the player's third in seven appearances in the midst of Birmingham's bid to return to the English Championship.
Speaking to Birmingham Live about Iwata's goal return, a pleasantly Davies said: "I didn’t know he would have scored so many goals so early, but the goals he has scored have been really high level.
"He’s arriving onto things and finishing well from different types of angles and positions."

During Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers' first spell in charge of Celtic from 2016 to 2019, Davies was the Irishman's number two.
When Rodgers moved to Leicester City in February 2019, Davies followed before breaking out on his own at Birmingham.
On Iwata, Davies added: "[The goal against Bolton] was probably the pick of the bunch because it’s come out of the air and he’s watched it come all the way down and control it with his left foot. It’s a difficult technique.
“It was an exceptional goal. It’s not just that, it’s what he gives the team, as well as the others. He’s humble and works hard for the team.
"He’s there every game, up for it, and that’s why he’s been important for us."
