Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has paid tribute to club legend Tommy Callaghan after he passed away on Friday morning aged 78, dubbing him "a real legend of the club".
The midfielder enjoyed an illustrious eight-year spell at Parkhead after joining from Dunfermline in 1968, winning six league titles, five Scottish Cups and three League Cups.
He was part of the Hoops’ iconic nine-a-row winning side in the 1974 season and became the only player to be signed twice by manager Jock Stein.
Speaking at Lennoxtown this afternoon, Rodgers said: "I had a message this morning from young Tommy, the son, to say his dad had passed away.

"So, I think all our thoughts and condolences are with Tommy.
"I think any player that's been signed twice by Jock Stein tells you how good a player he was.
"And it's always sad. I bumped into Tommy a few weeks only back and yeah, sad day, but a real legend of the club. And all our thoughts are with his family."
