An in-form Aberdeen were humbled at the hands of Celtic, losing 6-0 in the semi-final of the Scottish League Cup at Hampden tonight (Saturday).
It was slim pickings for pass marks among Jimmy Thelin's side over the course of the match. Here's how they rated.
Dimitar Mitov
Could do very little for any of Celtic's goals, with little to do over the course bar picking the ball out of the net. Decent save from Hatate in closing stages.
4
Nicky Devlin
One of the key reasons Aberdeen have been so strong this year so far, Devlin was as vocal as you might expect throughout. Struggled to affect the game against Celtic's indomitable high press.
6
Jack MacKenzie
Crossed for teammate Ester Sokler ahead of 70 minutes, forging Aberdeen's best chance of the night. Suffocated for space on the left flank for long stretches of the match, and thwarted Celtic on a handful of occasions despite the scoreline.
6
Graeme Shinnie
Like Devlin, captain Graeme Shinnie's experience and commitment has helped drive Aberdeen so far this season. Again like Devlin, struggled to rally his teammates in the face of a relentless opponent.
6
Sivert Heltne Nilson
Put himself about with a flurry of tackles in the early stages, but Heltne Nilson's bark failed to match its bite on this occasion.
3
Jamie McGrath
Forced a routine save from Schmeichel ahead of the hour mark but otherwise perhaps the quietest McGrath has been all season.
4
Luis Duk Lopes
Looked lively on the left flank in the opening stages, but struggled with the physicality of his opponents. Not the worst player on the pitch during his 45 minutes on it, but likewise far from his best.
4
Ester Sokler
Squandered his side's best chance at 5-0 down when he headed a fine Jamie McGrath cross well wide of the mark with Schmeichel likely beaten. Otherwise ineffective at the national stadium.
4
Gavin Molloy
Struggled to match Carter-Vickers as the American headed home from a corner, and spent most of his evening chasing shadows.
4
Slobodan Rubezic
Cautioned early for a rough challenge on Kyogo. Switched up his game into the second half, going longer than we've otherwise seen this season, but struggled to hit his target on a handful of occasions.
4
Topi Keskinen
A forgettable evening for the right-sided winger who's been no stranger to scoring goals this year so far. Quiet and offered little in all areas of the pitch.

SUBS
Palaversa
On at half-time with his side down 3-0 but failed to change the trajectory of the match.
Morris
Similar to his colleague Palaversa, Morris was introduced at half-time with little impact.
Ambrose
Brought on with his side 5-0 down and out.
Clarkson
Same as Ambrose, the game was well gone by the time of Clarkson's introduction.
Besuijen
On for McGrath in the final 10 minutes.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
