The meeting between Celtic and Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup final promises to be blockbuster.
Every battle between the Glasgow duo is a huge occasion but at Hampden Park there will be more than just bragging rights or one piece of silverware on the line.
Whoever wins in the Premier Sports Cup final will take the lead in major trophy count between these two Old Firm rivals.
Rangers have held the record for most successful Scottish side for 86 years but Celtic could swing the pendulum next month.
Both Glasgow clubs boast an impressive 118 major trophies in their history.
Rangers have won 55 league titles, 34 Scottish Cups, 28 League Cups and a European Cup Winners' Cup. Celtic lifted the Scottish top flight on 54 occasions, the Scottish Cup 42 times and the League Cup 21 times, also winning a European Cup in 1967.
There is, however, some debate on whether the Govan club should have further trophies included in their haul from the period during the Second World War.

Rangers won the Southern League Championship on seven occasions during the WW2 era - alongside victories in the Southern League Cup, Summer Cup, Scottish Emergency War Cup and Victory Cup.
Those accolades have never been listed by the club in their official major honours list - but are noted in the history of the club.
That may be because the league system was halted during WW2 meaning a break from the traditional league set-up and therefore not officially a major honour under the same circumstances as their other 118 triumphs.
Celtic, meanwhile, do include victories during World War One as football was not halted during the conflict meaning the league system was still in effect as usual. Rangers have a handful of trophies from the WW1 era also included in their major honours list.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
