Olympiacos defender Panagiotis Retsos praised Rangers boss Philippe Clement for doing his homework on them after the Ibrox side claimed a draw in the Europa League.
Rangers picked up a good point against the Europa Conference League winners in Athens after an equaliser from striker Cyriel Dessers.
And Greek international star Retsos credited the way the Ibrox men set themselves up against them.
He said: "It seems like Rangers had studied us closely because they were very good at shutting down our attacking qualities so credit to their coach for that.

"And I can understand that because of the performances we put in last season when we won the Europa Conference League. If I were them, I would have wanted us to be cautious too.
"But it wasn't the result we wanted. When we play here, we play to win and we have done that consistently recently.
"We conceded a goal from individual errors that we shouldn't have conceded. They happen in football. We have to work on them.
"I'm not happy. We wanted the three points because it would have been a big advantage for us."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
